Display advertising is an Online Marketing strategy which works by placing a banner advertisement on a third party website for the following purposes:

1. Brand awareness
2. Clicks to the advertiser website
3. Leads or buyers for a specific product or service
4. Communicate or announce an offer
5. Launch of a new product
6. Any other Marketing objective that you can think of

Usually marketers would use this powerful strategy, i.e. online banner display advertisements as a push strategy to connect effectively with their target audience.
